Slackware 12.1 comming soon

I look for Slackware 12.1 to be released very soon, if I had to guess, I'd say within a week or two.
(12.0 release date was 2007-07-02)

Grub is available for Slackware users that choose to use it,
pub/slackware/slackware-10.1/extra/grub/
pub/slackware/slackware-10.2/extra/grub/
pub/slackware/slackware-11.0/extra/grub
pub/slackware/slackware-12.0/extra/grub/
pub/slackware/slackware-12.1/extra/grub
While it's not installed by default, it has been in the repositories since '04. Lilo works just fine and the advanced features of grub are simply not needed in most cases. Most Slackware users don't bother with grub because they just don't need it.

Terry, how did you know that 12.1 was about to come out? ESP, or is there some devel mail list I don't know about.

It was just a [lucky] guess, an educated guess, but just a guess all the same.
I watch (and participate in) NG-alt.os.linux.slackware from time to time and had made a couple visits to a mirror site and noticed slackware-12.1/ had already been created and that RELEASE_NOTES and CHANGES_AND_HINTS.TXT and UPGRADE.TXT files were all there and [basically] all that was missing was isolinux/ (That's not ALL that was missing but just making a long story short here - those are files I look for and are interested in reading before doing a system upgrade, they are prerequisite.)
The Slackware team is methodical, not hard to follow, and [sometimes] not hard to predict either. They do not announce a release date in advance, (or at least I've never known them to), they just do it when they are good and ready, and that's ok, I think...

Yes.
We did not have ftp install prior to 12.1 but some have used a network install method via NFS.
