It was a good meeting.

We enjoyed the best of Griffs and looked through the Fry's section. Interesting 19" LG LCD for 129.

See you at the next meeting.

Sorry I couldn't make it today.

But then, in order to make it to Griff's for lunch today, I would have had to have started the trip yesterday morning! :D

Today, I just settled for two grilled ham & cheese on wheat sandwiches.

For those guys looking for work, if you'd like me to forward you email I'm still getting from recruiters about employment opportunities, let me know via private message on this board, or via email if you have my email address.

Later,
Len

Sorry guys, I don't think I'm gonna be able to make it again this week. My director is out sick, our network admin quit, the new one hasn't started yet, and our help desk guy in Kansas has to leave early today, leaving me by my lonesome.

I'll try to have something unhealthy and fattening, and think of Griff's. :D

I sure miss LTLUG and Griff's. They just don't have that here in this area. A short list of how much things have changed:

Going to work, I either:

A. Take the bus (Metrobus) mass transit or the train
B. Ride my bicycle for 5 miles... and often beat the bus because I ride faster than the bus

For lunch last Friday, I rode into Washington D.C. on my bike, (see images)

visited the Whitehouse and saw an anti-nuke protester who has apparently been there for like 20 years or something like that.

No Griffs... did I mention that? No Rusty, no Randy, No Davemon...

If you guys can get me an interview for a really good job back in Texas, I'll go!

Riding a bike to work is very nice. I live downtown and I ride to where I work (the library) and to school (TCC downtown). I can't wait until it gets cooler. The other day it was actually 90 degrees instead of 100+ and it felt pleasant. Do you miss that? Bet it is a little bit cooler there in DC.

WAY more humid though... makes it a bit more miserable. Also, the temperatures have been high to mid-90s and continue to be so. With humidity, you know, sweating is useless and makes it even more miserable. But I don't do it because it's pleasant all the time -- just trying to be less fat.
