Old/Unused Hardware Recycling

Postby glevans2 » Wed Oct 08, 2008 12:36 pm

Is there a local Ft. Worth computer equipment recycler that you would recommend? The place I work for has some company assets that they would like to have properly disposed, and I don't know what the useability of any of the equipment is.

They would like to dispose computers, monitors, and maybe some other stuff.

I'm not even sure how complete any of the individual systems are, but they would like them gone. I'm just collecting information right now for the boss to make a decision with/on.

Thanks for any input.

A co-worker gave me this URL awhile back. I haven't had a chance to call them, so I can't really vouch for them. They are located in Arlington.

http://www.arcic.com/

Goodwill accepts computers and monitors at the location on or near Bridge Street in Fort Worth. I've taken a few things to that location, but it was purely personal stuff.

If I come up with anything else, I'll post it here...

One thing about Goodwill, they told me that they do not want anything broken. They asked that I do the recycling myself but they did have a flyer for recycling places (at least a couple months ago). I do not think I have that information anymore, but I can see if I can find it again.

How much square feet of space would be needed for all the computers the company want's to get rid of, hundreds or thousands?
