Oh! So you didn't create it. I did some googling and found an SVG of the root penguin. "TUX-G2-SVG.svg" Might want to google for that and you should have little trouble locating it. I am still learning Inkscape, but if you are at all interested in creating your own stuff, I would recommend using Inkscape over GiMP for things like logos. Logos tend to want to scale and resize for different uses and since GiMP is bitmap oriented, it is much more difficult to maintain image quality when scaling. (You can only effectively scale down.. scaling up becomes ugly.) I also came across a nice web site that provides flash based animated tutorials for doing really nice looking stuff using Inkscape, so it's a rather nice launch pad into using it.
http://inkscapegallery.net/en/homePlaying with graphics can be daunting at first until you develop a conceptual appreciation for what you are attempting to do. Both GiMP and Inkscape are powerful tools for different types of graphic work. It might be the difference between Photoshop and Illustrator.
